What Kivra Handles

Kivra helps you keep a private, device-based archive of live shows. To provide that experience, it handles the records, images, ticket details, reflections, layout choices, and export files that you choose to create or import.

Photos, Camera, and Voice

When you choose an image import or camera capture, Kivra accesses the selected image or newly captured image to place it in your local archive. When you choose voice input, the App uses the microphone and Speech Recognition permission to turn your spoken reflection into text. Access is optional, occurs after your choice and permission, and can be revoked in device settings. Kivra does not use these features for facial recognition or biometric profiling.

On-Device Processing

Ticket OCR and magazine layout generation run on the device using the images and text in the current archive. The App can derive ticket fields, page previews, and layout data so you can review and edit a magazine. Unconfirmed OCR text and private ticket fields can be excluded from search or masked in exports.

Local Storage and UserDefaults

Kivra stores its Core Data records, source images, ticket images, previews, and exports in the App's local application-support and cache storage. UserDefaults stores Kivra-only settings such as appearance, library view, location-stripping preference, ticket-code masking preference, credit balance, and processed transaction identifiers. UserDefaults is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, or unrelated profiling. Local values and files may disappear when you delete the App or clear its local data.

Exports and Deletion

When you export a PDF or image, Kivra writes the file to the destination you select and can save image pages to Photos if you grant that access. You control the resulting file outside the App. Settings includes a control to clear Kivra records, managed files, caches, and saved preferences from the device.

Purchases

If you buy a Kivra credit pack, Apple provides the transaction and verification state needed to apply the credits. Kivra stores a local balance and processed transaction identifiers to prevent duplicate crediting. The App does not receive your full payment-card information. Refunds and payment records are handled under Apple's purchase policies and applicable law.

Sharing and Retention

Kivra does not provide a community feed, public profile, or user-to-user messaging feature. Your archive remains on the device unless you deliberately export or share a file using system tools. Local content remains until you delete it in the App, clear local data, delete the App, or remove the relevant file. The provider does not use your archive for advertising, cross-app tracking, or unrelated profiling.
